Registered bed nights increased 90 percent

In December 2021, 3,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Vellinge (+90.4 %), of which 3,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 490 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 72 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 480 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 90 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (165 nights).

880 rooms (+116.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,300 rooms (+76.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 140,000 registered bed nights (+20.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 17,600 (+53.1 %) for foreigners in Vellinge, in total 158,000 (+23.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vellinge out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

1,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 185 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.5 percent were domestic, and 15.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vellinge on average 1.9 nights (-0.89) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-0.93).
