Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 46 percent

In June 2019, 25,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Vellinge (+45.9 %), of which 17,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 26 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 128 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 46 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (4,500 nights).

1,800 rooms (+32.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,400 rooms (+44.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 41,000 registered bed nights (+12.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 14,700 (+118.2 %) for foreigners in Vellinge, in total 55,800 (+29.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 7.1 million registered bed nights (+7.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.0 million nights (+8.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.1 million nights (+5.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vellinge out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

Length of stay increased eight percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Vellinge, length of stay in June was on average 6.2 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (+4.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vellinge on average 5.4 nights (+7.4 %) and foreigners 9.6 nights (+40.9 %).

4,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 36 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 80.7 percent were domestic, and 19.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vellinge on average 5.4 nights (-0.38) and foreigners 9.6 nights (+3.8).
