Paid bed nights

11,000 registered bed nights

In June 2021, 11,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Vest-Agder (-2.3 %), of which 10,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 70 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased one percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 85 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased two percent from last year's June.

3,700 nights (-7.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,300 nights (+14.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 43,000 registered bed nights (+36.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,600 (-11.4 %) for foreigners in Vest-Agder, in total 44,600 (+33.7 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 2.8 million registered bed nights (+18.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.6 million nights (+18.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 143,000 nights (+11.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vest-Agder out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay increased six percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased six percent compared to earlier year. In Vest-Agder, length of stay in June was on average 2.0 nights and in Norway 2.2 nights (+6.9 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vest-Agder on average 2.0 nights (+18.0 %) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+77.8 %).

5,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased eight percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.4 percent were domestic, and 0.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vest-Agder on average 2.0 nights (+0.13) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.84).
