Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 69 percent

In April 2022, 12,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Vest-Agder (+69.3 %), of which 10,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 56 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 220 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 69 percent from last year's April.

2,900 nights (+248.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,500 nights (-16.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 30,500 registered bed nights (+22.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,100 (+133.8 %) for foreigners in Vest-Agder, in total 33,600 (+28.4 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.5 percent

Total of 2.4 million registered bed nights (+166.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.9 million nights (+143.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 434,000 nights (+360.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vest-Agder out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

Length of stay was 3.5 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 16 percent compared to earlier year. In Vest-Agder, length of stay in April was on average 3.5 nights and in Norway 2.1 nights (-24.2 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vest-Agder on average 3.4 nights (-10.6 %) and foreigners 4.0 nights (-50.2 %).

3,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 101 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.3 percent were domestic, and 13.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vest-Agder on average 3.4 nights (-0.49) and foreigners 4.0 nights (-7.5).
