Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 84 percent

In June 2022, 20,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Vest-Agder (+83.6 %), of which 14,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 35 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 7,600 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 84 percent from last year's June.

5,100 nights (+39.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,100 nights (-7.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 53,400 registered bed nights (+24.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 12,500 (+683.0 %) for foreigners in Vest-Agder, in total 65,900 (+48.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.1 million nights (+18.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.4 million nights (+904.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vest-Agder out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

Length of stay increased 12 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 12 percent compared to earlier year. In Vest-Agder, length of stay in June was on average 2.2 nights and in Norway 2.0 nights (-11.7 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vest-Agder on average 2.4 nights (+1.9 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-52.7 %).

9,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 64 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 66.2 percent were domestic, and 33.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vest-Agder on average 2.4 nights (+0.46) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.19).
