Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 38 percent

In May 2021, 17,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Vest- And Indre-Finnmark (+37.6 %), of which 16,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 39 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 23 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 38 percent from last year's May.

3,700 nights (+49.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 7,600 nights (+5.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 75,800 registered bed nights (+11.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,200 (-67.9 %) for foreigners in Vest- And Indre-Finnmark, in total 80,000 (-1.7 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.1 percent

Total of 1.6 million registered bed nights (+51.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.5 million nights (+52.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 103,000 nights (+45.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vest- And Indre-Finnmark out of total registered bed nights was 1.1 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.1 % and foreign bed nights 1.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.8 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 34 percent compared to earlier year. In Vest- And Indre-Finnmark, length of stay in May was on average 1.8 nights and in Norway 2.5 nights (-8.0 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vest- And Indre-Finnmark on average 1.8 nights (+3.9 %) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+53.3 %).

9,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 108 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.1 percent were domestic, and 5.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vest- And Indre-Finnmark on average 1.8 nights (-0.81) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-5.0).

Registered January-May sales were 52.4 million crowns and they increased 1.5 million crowns from the previous year.
