Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 131 percent

In April 2022, 38,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Vest- And Indre-Finnmark (+131.1 %), of which 29,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 8,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 85 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 1,400 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 131 percent from last year's April.

8,700 nights (+74.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 17,200 nights (+152.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 110,000 registered bed nights (+84.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 26,800 (+753.1 %) for foreigners in Vest- And Indre-Finnmark, in total 137,000 (+118.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.6 percent

Total of 2.4 million registered bed nights (+166.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.9 million nights (+143.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 434,000 nights (+360.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vest- And Indre-Finnmark out of total registered bed nights was 1.6 % (-0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.5 % and foreign bed nights 2.0 %.

Length of stay increased three percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. In Vest- And Indre-Finnmark, length of stay in April was on average 2.0 nights and in Norway 2.1 nights (-24.2 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vest- And Indre-Finnmark on average 1.8 nights (-15.8 %) and foreigners 3.5 nights (-29.1 %).

19,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 123 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.9 percent were domestic, and 13.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vest- And Indre-Finnmark on average 1.8 nights (-0.14) and foreigners 3.5 nights (+0.85).
