Registered bed nights increased 60 percent

In February 2022, 17,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Vest-Telemark (+60.5 %), of which 9,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased six percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 1,500 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 60 percent from last year's February.

5,100 nights (+72.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 80 nights (-76.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 11,900 registered bed nights (-23.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 10,500 (+1,513.0 %) for foreigners in Vest-Telemark, in total 22,300 (+37.5 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.0 percent

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+92.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+56.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 466,000 nights (+432.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vest-Telemark out of total registered bed nights was 1.0 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.8 % and foreign bed nights 1.7 %.

5,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 63 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 71.9 percent were domestic, and 28.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vest-Telemark on average 2.5 nights (-0.66) and foreigners 5.0 nights (-7.4).
