Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased three percent

In June 2021, 32,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Vest-Telemark (+3.4 %), of which 31,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 670 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 10 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased three percent from last year's June.

7,800 nights (+7.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 650 nights (-55.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 72,200 registered bed nights (+17.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,700 (-89.8 %) for foreigners in Vest-Telemark, in total 74,900 (-14.5 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.2 percent

Total of 2.8 million registered bed nights (+18.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.6 million nights (+18.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 143,000 nights (+11.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vest-Telemark out of total registered bed nights was 1.2 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

Length of stay was 2.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. In Vest-Telemark, length of stay in June was on average 2.7 nights and in Norway 2.2 nights (+6.9 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vest-Telemark on average 2.6 nights (-1.5 %) and foreigners 18 nights (+132.8 %).

11,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased five percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.7 percent were domestic, and 0.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vest-Telemark on average 2.6 nights (-0.1) and foreigners 18 nights (+16).
