Paid bed nights

11,000 registered bed nights

In February 2021, 11,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Vesterålen And Narvik (-49.3 %), of which 10,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 660 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 28 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 91 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 49 percent from last year's February.

3,100 nights (-66.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 5,700 nights (-50.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 18,700 registered bed nights (+31.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,100 (-71.5 %) for foreigners in Vesterålen And Narvik, in total 20,800 (-3.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 923,000 registered bed nights (-58.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 836,000 nights (-46.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 87,600 nights (-86.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vesterålen And Narvik out of total registered bed nights was 1.2 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.7 %.

Length of stay increased 25 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 25 percent compared to earlier year. In Vesterålen And Narvik, length of stay in February was on average 2.3 nights and in Norway 2.6 nights (+31.2 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vesterålen And Narvik on average 2.2 nights (+33.3 %) and foreigners 3.7 nights (+93.3 %).

4,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 59 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.4 percent were domestic, and 3.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vesterålen And Narvik on average 2.2 nights (+0.45) and foreigners 3.7 nights (+1.8).
