Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 128 percent

In March 2022, 25,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Vesterålen And Narvik (+128.4 %), of which 18,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 6,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 75 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 1,400 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 128 percent from last year's March.

11,200 nights (+282.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 9,700 nights (+58.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 40,900 registered bed nights (+39.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 13,700 (+437.8 %) for foreigners in Vesterålen And Narvik, in total 54,500 (+71.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.3 million registered bed nights (+142.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.8 million nights (+110.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 507,000 nights (+443.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vesterålen And Narvik out of total registered bed nights was 1.1 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.0 % and foreign bed nights 1.3 %.

Length of stay was 2.2 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. In Vesterålen And Narvik, length of stay in March was on average 2.2 nights and in Norway 2.1 nights (-23.5 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vesterålen And Narvik on average 2.2 nights (-2.4 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-46.3 %).

11,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 131 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 72.7 percent were domestic, and 27.3 percent were from foreign countries.
