Registered bed nights increased 94 percent

In February 2022, 201,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Vestland (+94.2 %), of which 164,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 37,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 89 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 118 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 94 percent from last year's February.

83,600 nights (+191.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 69,700 nights (+57.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 270,000 registered bed nights (+53.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 60,000 (+58.2 %) for foreigners in Vestland, in total 330,000 (+54.5 %) registered nights.

Market share 11.3 percent

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+92.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+56.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 466,000 nights (+432.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vestland out of total registered bed nights was 11.3 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 12.5 % and foreign bed nights 8.1 %.

99,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 158 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 85.8 percent were domestic, and 14.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vestland on average 1.9 nights (-0.59) and foreigners 2.7 nights (-1.5).

Registered January-February sales were 205.2 million crowns and they increased 85.4 million euro from the previous year.
