104,000 registered bed nights

In February 2021, 104,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Vestland (-54.2 %), of which 86,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 17,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 52 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 62 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 54 percent from last year's February.

28,700 nights (-71.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 44,200 nights (-45.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 176,000 registered bed nights (-47.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 37,900 (-55.3 %) for foreigners in Vestland, in total 214,000 (-48.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 923,000 registered bed nights (-58.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 836,000 nights (-46.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 87,600 nights (-86.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vestland out of total registered bed nights was 11.2 % (+1.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 10.3 % and foreign bed nights 19.6 %.

Length of stay increased 52 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 52 percent compared to earlier year. In Vestland, length of stay in February was on average 2.7 nights and in Norway 2.6 nights (+31.2 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vestland on average 2.5 nights (+45.9 %) and foreigners 4.1 nights (+126.1 %).

38,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 70 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.2 percent were domestic, and 10.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vestland on average 2.5 nights (+0.8) and foreigners 4.1 nights (+2.0).
