Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 17 percent

In June 2021, 369,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Vestland (+17.0 %), of which 345,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 23,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 16 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 36 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 17 percent from last year's June.

142,000 nights (+37.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 73,300 nights (+9.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 959,000 registered bed nights (+7.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 122,000 (-17.2 %) for foreigners in Vestland, in total 1.1 million (+3.7 %) registered nights.

Market share 13.3 percent

Total of 2.8 million registered bed nights (+18.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.6 million nights (+18.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 143,000 nights (+11.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vestland out of total registered bed nights was 13.3 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 13.2 % and foreign bed nights 16.6 %.

Length of stay increased eight percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Vestland, length of stay in June was on average 1.9 nights and in Norway 2.2 nights (+6.9 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vestland on average 1.9 nights (+18.4 %) and foreigners 3.0 nights (+77.6 %).

190,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.8 percent were domestic, and 4.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vestland on average 1.9 nights (+0.14) and foreigners 3.0 nights (+0.36).
