Registered bed nights increased 23 percent
In August 2022, 9,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Vetlanda (+22.7 %), of which 6,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 104 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 23 percent from last year's August.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (650 nights).
2,300 rooms (+3.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 800 rooms (+77.1 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 33,200 registered bed nights (+21.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 14,400 (+190.6 %) for foreigners in Vetlanda, in total 47,600 (+46.9 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 28 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 78.4 percent were domestic, and 21.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vetlanda on average 3.0 nights (+0.98) and foreigners 5.5 nights (+3.1).

Registered January-August sales were 20.3 million crowns and they increased 7.9 million crowns from the previous year.
