Registered bed nights increased 87 percent

In May 2022, 6,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Vetlanda (+86.6 %), of which 4,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 48 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 330 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 87 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (550 nights).

2,400 rooms (+143.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,800 rooms (+188.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 12,600 registered bed nights (+41.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,900 (+330.1 %) for foreigners in Vetlanda, in total 17,500 (+73.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vetlanda out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

2,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 64 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.5 percent were domestic, and 13.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vetlanda on average 1.7 nights (-0.34) and foreigners 5.0 nights (+3.7).
