Registered bed nights increased one percent

In May 2022, 4,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Vilhelmina (+1.1 %), of which 3,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 12 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 300 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased one percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (175 nights).

550 rooms (-33.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,400 rooms (+34.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 32,000 registered bed nights (+33.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,700 (+235.7 %) for foreigners in Vilhelmina, in total 36,700 (+44.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vilhelmina out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

2,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 52 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 79.5 percent were domestic, and 20.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vilhelmina on average 2.2 nights (-0.94) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-0.97).
