Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 77 percent

In August 2021, 21,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Vilhelmina (+77.1 %), of which 17,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 56 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 460 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 77 percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (1,000 nights).

2,000 rooms (+29.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 570 rooms (+130.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 74,900 registered bed nights (+17.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,400 (+151.8 %) for foreigners in Vilhelmina, in total 84,200 (+24.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 8.4 million registered bed nights (+39.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.8 million nights (+25.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+160.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Vilhelmina out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay increased 13 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 13 percent compared to earlier year. In Vilhelmina, length of stay in August was on average 3.1 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-3.6 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vilhelmina on average 3.4 nights (+11.4 %) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-43.6 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 56 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 77.1 percent were domestic, and 22.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Vilhelmina on average 3.4 nights (+0.6) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-0.04).
