14,100 registered bed nights

In February 2020, 14,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Voss (-31.7 %), of which 11,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 32 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 32 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 32 percent from last year's February.

11,900 nights (+6.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,400 nights (+75.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 18,800 registered bed nights (-26.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,200 (-24.5 %) for foreigners in Voss, in total 23,000 (-26.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.2 million registered bed nights (+13.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.6 million nights (+12.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 640,000 nights (+14.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Voss out of total registered bed nights was 0.6 % (-0.4 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

Length of stay was 2.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 23 percent compared to earlier year. In Voss, length of stay in February was on average 2.0 nights and in Norway 2.0 nights (+0.7 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Voss on average 1.8 nights (-22.7 %) and foreigners 4.4 nights (+6.7 %).

6,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 12 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 89.9 percent were domestic, and 10.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Voss on average 1.8 nights (-0.67) and foreigners 4.4 nights (+0.67).
