Registered bed nights increased seven percent

In January 2022, 11,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Voss (+7.4 %), of which 10,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased four percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 2,600 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased seven percent from last year's January.

6,400 nights (-1.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,200 nights (+14.3 %) by business visitors.

Total of 1.2 million registered bed nights (+51.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 888,000 nights (+35.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 292,000 nights (+132.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Voss out of total registered bed nights was 0.9 % (-0.4 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

4,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 18 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.1 percent were domestic, and 5.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Voss on average 2.2 nights (-0.34) and foreigners 4.2 nights (+0.9).
