Registered bed nights increased 77 percent

In April 2021, 1,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Ylä-Pirkanmaa (+77.5 %), of which 1,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 20 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 129 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 88 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 77 percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from France (20 nights).

790 nights (+877.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 460 nights (-26.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 4,400 registered bed nights (-34.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 48 (-97.3 %) for foreigners in Ylä-Pirkanmaa, in total 4,500 (-47.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 780,000 registered bed nights (+310.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 727,000 nights (+319.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 53,100 nights (+216.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ylä-Pirkanmaa out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

650 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 192 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.4 percent were domestic, and 0.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ylä-Pirkanmaa on average 1.9 nights (-0.64) and foreigners 5.0 nights (-10).
