Registered bed nights increased 159 percent
In April 2022, 3,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Ylä-Pirkanmaa (+159.3 %), of which 3,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5.0 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 163 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 75 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 159 percent from last year's April.
2,400 nights (+208.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 800 nights (+75.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 9,400 registered bed nights (+112.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 300 (+529.2 %) for foreigners in Ylä-Pirkanmaa, in total 9,700 (+116.8 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased five percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased five percent compared to earlier year. In Ylä-Pirkanmaa, length of stay in April was on average 2.0 nights and in Finland 1.9 nights (-22.7 %).
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ylä-Pirkanmaa on average 2.0 nights (+12.1 %) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-4.5 %).
1,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 148 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.8 percent were domestic, and 0.2 percent were from foreign countries.
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ylä-Pirkanmaa on average 2.0 nights (+0.11) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-3.3).
