Paid bed nights
Registered bed nights increased 34 percent
In April 2019, 1,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Ylivieska Region (+33.6 %), of which 1,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 191 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 28 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 122 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 34 percent from last year's April.
820 nights (+27.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,100 nights (+38.7 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 5,600 registered bed nights (-65.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 460 (-57.1 %) for foreigners in Ylivieska Region, in total 7,300 (-57.6 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased three percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. In Ylivieska Region, length of stay in April was on average 1.4 nights and in Finland 1.9 nights (-0.4 %).
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ylivieska Region on average 1.4 nights (-19.3 %) and foreigners 2.4 nights (-16.8 %).
1,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 29 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.0 percent were domestic, and 6.0 percent were from foreign countries.
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ylivieska Region on average 1.4 nights (+0.01) and foreigners 2.4 nights (+0.29).
