Registered bed nights increased 68 percent
In January 2022, 1,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Ylivieska Region (+67.7 %), of which 1,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 58 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 730 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 68 percent from last year's January.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (38 nights).
790 nights (+223.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 590 nights (+2.5 %) by business visitors.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased 44 percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 44 percent compared to earlier year. In Ylivieska Region, length of stay in January was on average 2.3 nights and in Finland 2.4 nights (+10.2 %).
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ylivieska Region on average 2.3 nights and foreigners 3.0 nights .

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 17 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.5 percent were domestic, and 5.5 percent were from foreign countries.
