Registered bed nights increased 19 percent

In September 2021, 23,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Ystad (+18.9 %), of which 18,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 24 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased two percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 19 percent from last year's September.

8,000 rooms (+2.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,300 rooms (+43.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 245,000 registered bed nights (+22.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 24,800 (-14.8 %) for foreigners in Ystad, in total 270,000 (+18.1 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.6 percent

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Ystad out of total registered bed nights was 0.6 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.6 %.

16,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 54 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 79.7 percent were domestic, and 20.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ystad on average 1.4 nights (-0.35) and foreigners 1.4 nights (-0.65).
