In October 2021, 17,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Ystad (-7.8 %), of which 13,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 12 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased six percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased eight percent from last year's October.
6,400 rooms (-11.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,800 rooms (+86.0 %) by business visitors.
Between January and October, 258,000 registered bed nights (+20.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 29,400 (-12.2 %) for foreigners in Ystad, in total 288,000 (+16.1 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 43 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 73.3 percent were domestic, and 26.7 percent were from foreign countries.
During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Ystad on average 1.3 nights (-0.64) and foreigners 1.2 nights (-1.0).
